Individual and Teen Counseling

"New beginnings start with knowing how we create the trap that we are caught in, how we have deprived ourselves of the love we need. Strong bonds grow from resolving to halt the cycles of disconnection, the dances of distress."

Even with advancements in technology, societal expectations and social media can promote feelings of loneliness and isolation for individuals and teens. It is common for individuals to feel disconnected from themselves and loved ones. A connection to self is the first step in connecting with others. I work with individuals and teens to address issues such as anxiety, depression, conflict at home, self-harm, low self-esteem, body issues, eating disorders, feelings of unresolved grief and anger, feeling alone, trouble expressing emotion, and adjusting to change. I work collaboratively with individuals in a supportive, non-judgmental environment to help them identify underlying emotions and coping behaviors that keep us stuck in negative relationships with self and others. When individuals feel peace and a solid sense of identity and safety, they are empowered with greater capacity to value self, nurture others, create healthy boundaries and reliably connect with others.
